Accreditation Assistant Job Announcement

The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education, Inc. (CAATE) is a 501c 3 non-profit organization focused on providing premier accreditation services to institutions that offer Athletic Training Education Programs, verify that all CAATE accredited programs meet Standards for professional and post-professional athletic training education, and support continuous improvement in the quality of athletic training education. The CAATE is pleased to announce the following available position:

Job Description: This full-time position will support customer service, administrative, and selected data entry functions under the direction of the Executive Director. In addition, assisting the Executive Director and the Director of Accreditation with coordinating accreditation actions, site visits, other CAATE meetings, special projects and other daily tasks as assigned. Some travel expected. Relocation not required. Samples of job responsibilities are included but not limited to:

    • Customer support
      – Answer phone calls and provide customer support
      – Provide support to programs (monitor incoming emails, answer phone calls)
      – Provide support for eAccreditation (electronic accreditation software)
      – Provide support to Site Visitors, Review Committee members
      – Monitor Support Email
      – Communicate to support staff at eAccreditation (submit ticket requests, etc.)
    • Substantive Change Requests
      – Monitor and review all phases of substantive change requests
      – Review, forward to review, draft letters of non-compliance, review Progress Reports
      – Communicate with the Board of Certification for Program Director change requests and program degreelevel approvals
    • Site Visit Process
      – Work with Director of Accreditation on Site Visitor conflict of interest, scheduling, and support in
      – eAccreditation tasks to include: release of self-studies, new program applications, site visitor and review team assignments, release of rejoinders and progress reports
      – Work with Director of Accreditation to provide eAccreditation trainings for site visitors and program
      – Review expense reports, peer and administrator evaluations, issue honorariums
      – Email communication to all Site Visitors and program administrators
      – Draft/Send Accreditation letters as directed by Director of Accreditation
      – Manage surveys (peer evaluations, program evaluations of site visits, etc.)
      – Assist in the training of Site Visitors on use of Egencia (booking of flights, hotels, etc. of site visitors)
    •  Annual Reports
      – Assist in the initial review of Annual Reports and Annual Report rejoinders/progress reports
    • Miscellaneous
      – Assist Executive Director with meeting scheduling, announcements, agendas and minutes
      – Arrange food and beverage with hotel banquet staff for CAATE meetings
      – Coordinate and complete special projects and other duties as assigned


    • Qualifications & Skills Required:
      o Bachelor’s degree
      o Significant analytical and problem-solving skills
      o Strong attention to detail and accuracy
      o Self-starter, must be able to work unsupervised
      o Consistency with organizational processes and daily tasks
      o Excellent professional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
      o Excellent customer service skills – must be able to work with diverse groups
      o Considerable knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)


    • Preferred Skills:
      o Bachelor’s degree.
      o Event /meeting planning experience.
      o Non-profit and/or accreditation experience.
