Annual Report Submission Deadline and Policy Change for 2017 Reporting Period

The Commission has revised the due date for Annual Reports to October 1st and will apply a processing fee to late reports.  Annual Reports for all professional and post-professional degree programs must be received through eAccreditation before reviewers can begin review of the reports.  Late submission of Annual Reports delays the review of and response to all Annual Reports for all programs. In order to better serve our stakeholders and ensure a timely response to Annual Reports, the CAATE has revised the submission policy and procedures for Annual Reports effective for the 2016-2017 reporting period.

Annual Reports will continue to be open and available in eAccreditation for program administrators to complete beginning on June 1 each year. Effective for the 2016-2017 Annual Report, all accredited professional and post-professional degree programs must submit their Annual Report by October 1. This includes programs that completed self-studies or had Site Visits during the reporting period. This policy will be enforced without exception, or granted extensions.  Programs that submit Annual Reports more than 7 days after the October 1 deadline will be assessed a $250 late processing fee.

The CAATE staff will continue to update and maintain the Annual Report webpage to assist programs in completing the submission process.  The webpage contains instructional materials for both professional and post-professional degree programs.  Materials include checklists and section-by-section video tutorials that highlight new questions, areas where common errors occur, and the Standards that are assessed for compliance during the review process. Additionally, the CAATE staff will be conducting Annual Report training sessions for program administrators to assist in completing the Annual Report. Face-to-face training will be available at during the NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo in Houston, TX.  Additional Annual Report trainings will occur via webinar in July/August 2017, so look for future announcements on the date and time of those training sessions.
