Announcement of Call for CAATE Site Visitors

CAATE Site Visitor Selection

The CAATE is accepting applications for individuals interested in contributing to the advancement of education in athletic training by serving as a CAATE Site Visitor. Site Visitors will address the responsibilities listed below for professional and post-professional programs.  Persons interested in applying to be a Site Visitor must have the following qualifications:

Eligibility

  • Be in good standing with their credentialing and regulatory body,
  • All healthcare professionals must have an NPI number
  • Evidence of experience as a healthcare clinician, current or past affiliation with the CAATE, CAATE accredited programs or other healthcare profession’s accredited programs. Exceptions will be approved by the Commission
  • Demonstrate experience and/or understanding of educational accreditation
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities for Site Visitors

  • Complete the profile and conflict of interest section in eAccreditation
  • Attend required training sessions (e.g. eAccreditation, Site Visitor Training)
  • Review self-study materials for assigned program
  • Complete Site Visits as assigned
  • Complete all required reports and documentation in a timely fashion (Site Visit Reports, expense reports, peer evaluations, quality assurance documents, etc.)
  • Stay current with all Site Visitor Policies and Procedures. Invitation to renew status as a site visitor is based on assessment of performance via the Quality Assurance Process which includes assessment of performance and professional behaviors

Interested candidates must submit the following application materials electronically via eAccreditation by October 1st, 2018.  Selected candidates will be expected to attend a face-to-face Site Visitor Training at ATEC 2019 (February 14, 2019), NATA 2019 (June 23, 2019) or CAATE Accreditation Conference 2019 (October 10, 2019).

Completed applications will be reviewed and selected site visitors will be notified by end of November.

To submit an application:

If you are a current user of the eAccreditation:

  • Login and select the Apply as a Site Visitor button on the Home page

  • Complete the Registration page with all personal information and contact details – click the Register button.
  • Next complete all sections of the Profile Information page; all required uploads listed below should be placed in the ‘Upload CV’ section. Please label and upload each document separately. There should be a total of six uploads.
  1. Curriculum Vita
  2. Letter of interest for a specific committee/position
  3. Verification of credentialing and good standing with BOC (ATs only) and state (if applicable for ATs and other healthcare providers)
  4. List of 3 references (provide name, position, phone, and email)
  5. Verification of NPI number
  6. Letter of recommendation which addresses the candidate’s qualifications and interest in being a site visitor (may not be from a Commissioner)

After all sections are complete, submit the application.

If you do not have an eAccreditation login:

  • Navigate to the eAccreditation website (https://www.e-accred.caate.net/), select the button ‘Click Here to Register as a Site Visitor for the CAATE’ on the bottom righthand of the page.
  • Complete the Registration page with all personal information and contact details – click the Register button.
  • Next complete all sections of the Profile Information page; all required uploads listed below should be placed in the ‘Upload CV’ section. Please label and upload each document separately. There should be a total of six uploads.
