The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) is excited to announce the appointment of Alysia Green, MD, to its Board of Commissioners. Dr. Green began her three-year term on October 4, 2025.
Dr. Green brings a strong dedication to advancing athletic training education; her clinical expertise will be an invaluable asset to the CAATE leadership team. "As we continue to elevate clinical practice and improve health care outcomes through excellence in professional athletic training education, including our Residency and Fellowship programs, Dr. Green’s extensive experience and insight will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our profession," said Commission President Toni Torres-McGehee, Ph.D., LAT, ATC, FACSM.
Dr. Green’s appointment underscores CAATE's commitment to ensuring high-quality standards across all accredited athletic training programs.
CAATE also thanks Steven Cuff, MD, for his dedicated service as his term on the CAATE Board of Commissioners concluded on October 4, 2025, after 7 years.
The CAATE expresses our sincere gratitude for Dr. Cuff’s impactful contributions and leadership. His thoughtful leadership and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in advancing the CAATE's work and will be truly missed.
While Dr. Cuff’s term on the Board has ended, the CAATE is delighted to announce that he will continue to lend his expertise as a member of the Physicians Advisory Council. His ongoing involvement ensures that his valuable insights will remain integral to the CAATE's efforts to elevate athletic training education.
