POST-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS
Post-professional graduate degree programs are designed to prepare athletic trainers for advanced clinical practice, and research and scholarship, to enhance the quality of patient care, optimize patient outcomes and improve patients’ health-related quality of life. The athletic trainer’s post-professional preparation is based on developing students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities, beyond the professional level, as determined by the Commission. Post-professional athletic training degree programs incorporate core competencies required for advanced clinical practice.
